I would like a reshuffle of teams, but understand the logic of loving a team. I was very excited to see the Reds still available when I joined. I still like my idea of equalizing all the franchises (same fan interests and market sizes) and see what would happen! Ok, I will get off my soap box!
I love the idea of simming a few seasons out after we "reach reality"!
I really would like to know if it would be possible to start in the 50s and expand the league like MLB did? Maybe even expanding the league only if there is interest and no teams under league ownership...

I would like to speak out against the re-shuffle of teams. I am a big Yankees fan and would want to keep them. For me, even if we went back to 1978, it would not be a complete "do-over" as I did not take the team over until 1980. I know a good deal of the owners have not run the franchise from the beginning so I am not alone here.
Now as far as equalization goes, beyond market size we all can be equal. You can look at all of the once pitiful teams that turned into big market money makers and vice versa. In reality Oakland is a very small market team and the Giants across the bay are the big dogs. In the IBF the A's have been a model franchise and while not the richest team in the league they have very high revenues. The Giants on the other hand are very middle of the road. Winning can cure a lot of those problems. The model for being able to turn awful into awesome is the Mariners. They were near the bottom of the league in everything, then a new owner came in and turned them around.
As I have said before I am a fan of going a few years beyond reality as well.
The 50s would be great, but we may have some issues with owners wanting to keep their teams.
